Babylon 7 là phần mềm từ điển và dịch thuật hàng đầu thế giới. Babylon cung cấp cho bạn công cụ trực quan nhất cho mọi nhu cầu dịch thuật của mình. Kích hoạt qua một cú nhấn chuột

• Từ điển trực tuyến Babylon là công cụ đơn giản và trực quan được kích hoạt chỉ bằng một nhấn chuột duy nhất. Chỉ việc nhấn chuột vào bất kì văn bản nào trong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, trang web, tin nhắn hay bất kì ứng dụng desktop nào. Grammar in use (new version)

Trước đây mình có xây dựng một bộ dữ liệu lấy từ quyển Grammar in use dùng cho từ điển Babylon, lúc đó mình chỉ xây dựng mang tính thử nghiệm nhưng không ngờ sau một thời gian đưa lên mạng nhận được khá nhiều quan tâm của người dùng. Tuy nhiên phiên bản đó khá đơn giản và thiếu nhiều tính năng cơ bản khi dùng trong Babylon, chính vì vậy mình đã xây dựng một phiên bản mới của Grammar in use, phiên bản này thuận tiện hơn trong việc vào danh sách bài học đồng thời bổ sung thêm chức năng từ khóa của bài. Ví dụ, bạn có thể gõ từ khóa present để vào các bài học ngữ pháp liên quan như present Continuous, Present Perfect and past. Previously, I have built a set of data getting from the book “Grammar in use” for Babylon dictionary. At that time, I built the data as well as a beta version but after the time public on internet received a lot of interest of used. However that version is quite simple and lacks many basic features when used in Babylon, and so I have built a new version of Grammar in use, this version more convenient when into the list of lessons and additional function of the keyword pages. Từ điển Việt Trung- Trung việt (Bản phồn thể) dùng cho Babylon

E hèm, hôm qua vừa build xong bộ dữ liệu CV(T) (Chinese-Vietnamese) và VT(T) (Vietnamese-Chinese) (cả 2 bản này đều dùng tiếng trung phổ thông phồn thể -Chinese Mandarin tradition). Dữ liệu này được convert từ bộ dữ liệu của từ điển Lạc Viêt (bản Hoa -Viêt), cũng phải nói thêm dữ liệu này không phải do tôi convert mà tôi xin từ bạn Đào Công Tiến (tiendc@gmail.com), dữ liệu của bạn Tiến ở dạng giản thể tôi đã chuyển sang phồn thể và bổ sung một số tính năng mới cho chương trình như zoom chữ và có phiên âm Bopomo bên cạnh mỗi chữ.

Vì các chương trình trên có dung lượng khá lớn nên mình dùng winrar hay là File Splitter & Joiner đẻ chia các file . Vì vậy sau khi download về các bạn dùng winrar ( nếu là file có dạng *.rar ) hay là File Splitter & Joiner ( nếu file có định dạng *.001, *.002 …..) để nối các file lại với nhau và dùng chương trình daemon tool để đọc các file bạn mới nối lai .

Phần mềm học tiếng anh Grammar 2.4

Hôm qua mình mới nhận được bản Grmmar 2.4 từ chính tác giả phần mềm , sau khi dùng thử một time có vài nhận xét sau đây.

Với phiên bản này phần giao diện đẹp hơn một chút, một số lỗi vẫn chưa khắc phục được vẫn bị lỗi 380 (lỗi font). Nói về cái chuyện lỗi font này cũng có nhiều cái để bàn đây. Nguyên nhân là tác giả do bảo mật tài liệu lên đã làm ra một loại font riêng tên là x1, khổ lỗi loại font này chảng biết là tác giả mã hóa kiểu gì nhưng chỉ có G là có thể dọc được chứ còn các soft khác thì chịu, mà có lẽ nó hơi khác lạ so với các loại font khác lên thường xuyên bị Windows từ chối. Nếu bạn gặp phải lỗi đó thì hãy copy font ở thư mục cài đặt cảu G vào thư mực font của  Windows, nó sẽ khắc phục được lỗi này.

Về chức năng, có một sự cải tiến đáng kể và cả đáng khâm phục đối với G. Tác giả đã cho thêm một phần gọi là phân tích câu. Theo đánh giá của mình đây là một phần rất hay và đồ sộ, nó phân tích từng câu và từng chữ trong bài, chức năng của từ và vì sao câu đó lại phải dùng từ đó, tuyệt không nào.

Nói chung, nếu bỏ qua một số lỗi bạn đã có một phần mềm miễn phí tuyệt vời mà ngay cả các phần mềm trả phí cũng không bằng, và còn chờ gì nữa download về thôi

Hướng dẫn cài đặt babylon (update)

Thời gian vừa rồi có một số bạn hỏi tôi tại sao Babylon bản 7.0.13 đồng loạt không sử dụng được và nhờ tôi cách khắc phục. Nguyên nhân Babylon 7.0.13 không dùng được hiện giờ tôi vẫn chưa dõ, nhưng tôi đã chuyển sang Babylon bản 7.0.23, bản này sau vài ngày sử dụng tôi thấy khá ổn định, hi vọng nó không gặp vẫn đề gì trong thời gian tới.

Cách cài đặt bản 7.0.23 hơi khác so với bản 7.0.13, các bạn nhớ làm theo hướng dẫn sau.

Bước 2: Nếu bạn đang dùng Internet thì ngắt kết nối

Bước 3: Giải nén file bạn vừa download về, chạy file Babylon7_setup_eng_eng_oxford_2.exe để cài đặt và làm theo hướng dẫn sau

Chọn Custom installation và chọn theo hình minh họa

Sau khi cài đặt xong và đảm bảo babylon không chạy nền (bấm chuột phải vào icon của babylon ở góc phải bên dưới màn hình và chọn exit) sau đó copy file patch vào thư mục cài đặt Babylon và chạy file patch.

Mở babylon lên, vào Options ->configuration-> chọn tab: Connection và làm như hình minh họa sau đây

Mở lại mạng

Sau khi thực hiện xong các bước trên thì bạn có thể sử dụng Babylon mà không lo bị die nữa rồi.

Có thể nói đây là một phần mềm rất tuyệt để học tiếng anh. Nếu bỏ qua những lỗi và giao diện chưa thực sự thân thiện thì có thể nói đây là một phần mềm khổng lồ. Nếu muốn có bản chạy ổn định bạn có thể tìm và download bản Grammar1.2, phiên bản này chạy trên dos nhưng rất ổn định.

Từ điển Hán Việt dùng cho babylon – bản cập nhật

Làm sao để có được phiên âm tiếng trung?

Khi học tiếng Trung, gặp các từ mới bạn cần phải biết phiên âm của từ đó để có thể phát âm chính xác được. Không có gì hay hơn để biết phát âm của từ đó bằng một quyển từ điển đúng không nào. Tuy nhiên từ điển cũng chưa phải cách hay nhất vì trong windown còn có nhiều chức năng hay hơn cho phép bạn hiển thị phiên âm ngay bên cạnh chữ viết.

Cách 1: Sử dụng chứ năng phonetic guide cử MS Word.

Vào MS Word, mở file tiếng trung của bạn lên, bôi đen đoạn cần phiên âm rồi vào menu: Format -> Asian Layout -> Phonetic guide

Các bạn lưu ý: Tiếng trung có hai kiểu phiên âm, với những bạn học tiếng trung giản thể thường dung hệ phiên âm PinYin, còn các bạn dùng tiếng trung phồn thể thường dùng phiên âm BoPoMo. Để chuyển đổi giữa 2 loại này các bạn có thể làm theo cách sau:

Vào menu Tools ->Language -> Set Language

Trong cửa sổ Language chọn tiếng trung của bạn (Thường phồn thể là Chinese(Taiwan) hoặc Chinese(Hong Kong))

Cách 2: Đó là bạn dùng ngay các Font có hỗ trợ phiên âm với cách này thực sự dễ dàng và hiệu quả. Các font này các bạn có thể tìm thấy trên mạng, chúng có rất nhiều.

Từ điển Hán-Việt, Việt-Hán dùng cho Babylon

Thời gian vừa rồi tôi có sử dụng website http://hanviet.org để tra nghĩa hán việt, việt -hán. Theo nhận xét của tôi thì đây có lẽ là trang web tra từ hán việt – việt hán tốt nhất hiện nay. Tuy nhiên, tác giả của website chưa công bố phần mềm để tra offline. Trong thời gian chờ tác giả công bố (may mắn nếu có thể một ngày đẹp trời tác giả công bố) tôi đã xây dựng bộ từ điển hán việt- việt hán dùng cho từ điển Babylon. Tất nhiên là dữ liệu của bộ từ điển này được lấy chọn vẹn từ website http://hanviet.org. Hi vọng nó có ích cho mọi người.
